about

DJ THIS THAT AND THE OTHER

With full regalia of instruments and machines, and sounds exotic, dirty, and pristine, DJ THIS THAT AND THE OTHER creates a cohesive yet expansive musical headspace both on stage and on record.

Performing solo and as part of numerous collaborations, DJ TTATO has developed a knack for seamlessly integrating live sounds, old audio memorabilia, and fancy computers to dance and entrance listeners.

DJ THIS THAT AND THE OTHER (aka Jeremy Averitt) was born and raised in the buckle of the Bible belt. With fellow Tennesseans, he explored a range of musical avenues, including straight edge hard core, noise, jazz-fusion, and prog rock.

He joined The Hosemobile and found himself playing music throughout the east coast, and as far as New Zealand and Australia.

In 2003, a perplexing turn of events led to DJ TTATO landing in Colorado. On found computer platforms, he began working on electronic and acoustic music synthesis, resulting in a sound that reflects the different perspectives that DJ TTATO has been able to enjoy.

In addition to three solid albums (including the soon to be released "ANALOG TO DIGITAL"), DJ TTATO's work is featured in full length horror films, countless short films, and on The 9th and Lincoln Orchestra's debut album. It has also been used for military purposes.

Jeremy Averitt also plays bass with Colorado math rock outfit The Shift, and has shared the stage with the likes of The Melvins, Iceburn, Estradasphere, Greg Harris Vibe Quintet, Hank Williams III, and Shellac.
